Indian American community leader has been elected president of the St Petersburg International Folk Fair Society (SPIFFS), marking a significant leadership transition for the Florida-based nonprofit. The announcement, made on April 14, signals a new phase for the organization, which is widely recognized for promoting cultural diversity through traditional arts and community-driven initiatives.
Sahay, who hails from Patna, has been actively involved with SPIFFS for several years and has built a strong reputation for his contributions to cultural outreach and local engagement. His appointment by the board of directors reflects confidence in his ability to guide the organization as it continues to expand its impact across diverse communities. In his new role, Sahay will lead a dedicated executive team that includes Jaroslaw Chomonczuk serving as vice president and secretary, Ise Kearney as treasurer, Jaya Eeten as sister city chair, Julia Wang as board member, Steven Barefield as immediate past president, and JoEllen Schilke as executive director. Together, the leadership team is set to oversee the organization’s operations and strategic initiatives.
