Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is preparing to release his new book titled “Apnapan,” scheduled for launch on May 26. The book brings together reflections from his three decades in public service, along with personal experiences and observations from his close working relationship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It aims to present a detailed account of leadership, governance, and public life from his perspective.
In a video message shared ahead of the launch, Chouhan described Prime Minister Modi not just as a political leader with widespread public support, but as a “Karmayogi” with extraordinary vision and dedication. He said working alongside the Prime Minister has been a deeply learning experience that inspired him to document his journey for future generations of leaders and citizens.
Chouhan explained that the book is the result of years of observation and participation in governance, much of which was spent working closely with the Prime Minister. He noted that while the public often sees leaders delivering speeches and shaping policies from a distance, his own experience allowed him to witness the discipline, energy, and commitment behind those decisions at a more personal level.
He further emphasized that leadership, in his view, is not defined by public speeches alone but by consistent effort, selfless service, and a strong connection with people. According to him, these values are essential for meaningful governance and long-term national progress.
The Union Minister added that “Apnapan” is not merely a collection of memories but an attempt to share valuable lessons from decades of political experience. He expressed hope that the book will serve as guidance for young and emerging leaders who aspire to contribute to nation-building.
Chouhan highlighted that the central message of the book focuses on how determination and dedication, rather than position or power, drive real change. He said the Prime Minister’s life serves as an example of how commitment to public welfare can transform governance and inspire large-scale development.
He also expressed confidence that readers, particularly young citizens, will find inspiration in the book’s themes of service, empathy, patriotism, and national development. According to him, “Apnapan” aims to encourage greater participation in the journey toward building a developed nation, driven by values rooted in public welfare and responsibility.
