Indo-American Festivals, Inc. (IAF) has unveiled plans for the inaugural Grand Hanuman Jayanti Festival, scheduled for April 12, 2025, at Mercer County Park, West Windsor, New Jersey. Known for hosting the renowned Grand Dushahra Festival for over two decades, IAF is expanding its cultural footprint by introducing this new celebration dedicated to Lord Hanuman, a revered deity in Hindu tradition.
The festival will feature a 16-foot Hanuman Ji statue, along with a large-scale recital of Sundar Kand and Hanuman Chalisa, performed by 251 Chooki. Devotees will also come together for a Maha Hanuman Aarti, creating a deeply spiritual experience. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, attendees can enjoy live Hanuman Leela performances, music, and dance, along with a Meena Bazaar featuring craft stalls and a diverse selection of Indian and ethnic delicacies from various food vendors.
Founded in 1999 by the late Mangal Gupta, IAF has been instrumental in promoting Indian culture in the United States. Its flagship event, the Grand Dushahra Festival, draws over 12,000 attendees annually. The 27th edition is set for October 4, 2025, at Lake Papaianni Park, Edison, New Jersey.
