Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited Israeli companies to explore opportunities in India to invest, manufacture and build long-term technology partnerships, underscoring India’s push to deepen innovation-led economic cooperation with Israel.
Accompanied by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, PM Modi visited a high-level exhibition showcasing cutting-edge Israeli innovations across sectors including agri-tech, water technology, climate solutions, health biotechnology, smart mobility, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and quantum technologies.
Interacting with scientists, startup founders, technology entrepreneurs and chief executives, the Prime Minister highlighted that the innovations on display carry immense potential to scale up India–Israel collaboration in startups, business partnerships and applied research, particularly in agriculture, water management, healthcare and digital services.
The engagement took place under the broader framework of the India–Israel Innovation Bridge, an initiative aimed at jointly developing solutions to modern-day global challenges by combining Israel’s technological strengths with India’s scale, talent pool and manufacturing ecosystem.
Several advanced technologies were demonstrated during the walkthrough. Quantum-focused firms showcased developments in quantum computing infrastructure and software simplification, while artificial intelligence startups presented point-of-care diagnostic tools and AI-driven strategic risk analysis platforms.
Mobility and safety solutions featured prominently, with demonstrations of advanced sensor and chip technologies designed to reduce road accidents. Cybersecurity firms highlighted next-generation threat prevention systems and their expanding collaborations within India.
Sustainability-driven innovations were also showcased, including technologies that generate drinking water from air, gravity-powered micro-irrigation systems, electricity-free post-harvest solutions to reduce food loss, precision fermentation for alternative dairy proteins, and machine-learning-enabled microalgae cultivation.
Technologies addressing environmental challenges included plastic waste management through bio-conversion additives and high-resolution geological modelling for mineral resource assessment. Aerospace and defence capabilities were also highlighted, with demonstrations of miniaturised communication satellites and integrated radar systems.
The visit reinforced India’s message that it is open for global innovation partnerships, offering Israeli companies a robust platform to scale technologies, access a vast market and participate in India’s expanding manufacturing and startup ecosystem. Officials and industry leaders noted that such engagements are expected to translate into deeper collaboration, joint ventures and sustained economic ties between the two innovation-driven nations.
