The champions of India’s Got Talent Season 10 are set to take their talents global, as the Abujhmad Mallakhamb Academy from Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh, received an official invitation to participate in America’s Got Talent 2026 in Los Angeles. The academy, known for its exceptional gymnasts, will send seven members, including one female performer, to represent India on the international stage.
Mallakhamb, an ancient Indian sport combining aerial yoga and acrobatics on a traditional vertical pole, will be showcased by the young performers, highlighting India’s rich cultural heritage and athletic skill. Recently, two academy members performed in Romania, earning widespread acclaim for their display of precision and artistry.
“Our invitation from America’s Got Talent is a moment of immense pride. We aim to make Bastar and India proud on the global stage,” said Manoj Prasad, the academy’s founder and coach. The team members have expressed their determination to win the competition, acknowledging the intense effort and discipline the sport demands. “Participating in AGT has been our ultimate goal since India’s Got Talent,” one member shared, emphasizing their focused preparation over the past two months.
The achievement is particularly significant given the academy’s location in a region once affected by Naxal activity. The academy’s rise to international recognition has not only transformed the district’s image but also inspired local youth by showcasing talent, discipline, and cultural pride.
By earning a spot on America’s Got Talent, the Abujhmad Mallakhamb Academy highlights the power of dedication, resilience, and community support. As the performers prepare to take the global stage, they carry with them the aspirations of Bastar, Chhattisgarh, and the entire nation, promising a display of skill and artistry that bridges tradition and modernity.
