Cricket in the United States received a major boost with the official announcement of LaGrange Cricket Stadium, a state-of-the-art facility being developed by LaGrange Cricket Holdings near Atlanta, Georgia. The launch event, held in Mumbai, highlighted the stadium’s vision to become a permanent hub for cricket in the US, with operations slated to begin in 2027.
Spanning 45 acres, the stadium will feature 10,000 permanent seats, expandable to 25,000 for large-scale concerts and other entertainment events. Designed to meet international cricketing standards, it will host national and global matches while serving as a multi-sport, community-focused destination. The venue aims to drive tourism, regional economic growth, and year-round engagement with local and cultural events.
The launch featured former Indian cricketer Pravin Amre, alongside LaGrange Cricket Holdings executives Keval Patel, Gary S Pasricha, Siddharth Das, Jefferson Miller, and Michael Hall from the Caribbean Premier League. Amre’s involvement brings Indian cricketing expertise, ensuring the facility meets global benchmarks while incorporating a distinctive Indian influence, strengthening US-India cricket connections.
Keval Patel, Founder and CEO, emphasized that LaGrange Cricket Stadium is more than a traditional venue—it blends sport, culture, and entertainment, offering a vibrant experience for fans and the community while generating long-term economic benefits. Pravin Amre highlighted the meticulous planning focused on playing surfaces, player amenities, and spectator experience, positioning the stadium to transform how cricket is played and enjoyed in the US.
Cricket, with 2.5 billion fans worldwide and played in 110 countries, is rapidly expanding in the US through professional leagues and grassroots initiatives. LaGrange Cricket Stadium will host elite-level competitions, domestic leagues, and youth academies, creating a structured pathway for talent development.
