A vibrant annual fundraising concert organized by the Siddhi Singers Group successfully brought together the Indian-American community in Toms River, New Jersey, on May 9, 2026. The event was hosted at the Shree Siddhivinayak Temple and Indian Cultural & Community Center, drawing devotees, community leaders, and guests for an evening centered around music, devotion, and cultural unity.
The fundraiser was dedicated to supporting the temple’s ambitious plan to construct a new community hall. This upcoming facility is intended to serve as a central space for cultural celebrations, educational programs, social gatherings, and spiritual activities for the expanding Indian diaspora in the region.
The nearly three-hour musical program was performed by the Siddhi Singers, the temple’s in-house group led by Dr. Kirit Pandya and Ms. Annette D’Souza Patel. Their performances included devotional hymns, Bollywood melodies, and traditional cultural pieces that resonated strongly with the audience. The live musical accompaniment featured skilled artists playing instruments such as tabla, keyboard, guitar, and percussion, creating an engaging and festive atmosphere. A dinner sponsored by Aarzu – The Modern Indian Bistro added to the community experience.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including the Deputy Consul General of India in New York, who served as the chief guest. Prominent leaders from various Indian-American organizations were also present, reflecting wide community participation and support for the temple’s initiative.
Temple leadership, including its chairman, co-chairman, and chief trustee, formally welcomed the dignitaries and expressed gratitude to donors, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to the success of the fundraiser. During the event, the leadership emphasized the growing need for a dedicated community hall to accommodate increasing participation in religious and cultural programs.
