Modi thanked First Lady Jill Biden for her efforts in planning and organizing the event, and he mentioned various collaborative projects between India and the National Science Foundation.
The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi, tweeted about the event, emphasizing the discussions on vocational education, skill development, and the joint efforts to shape the future workforce. Modi also shared his vision of making the current decade a “tech decade” in order to promote advancements in technology and innovation.
Following the event, Jill Biden returned to the White House to unveil the decorations and menu for an upcoming state dinner. The dinner will be held in a temporary pavilion on the South Grounds of the White House. To prepare the dinner courses, the First Lady collaborated with guest chef Nina Curtis, known for her expertise in plant-based cooking, along with the White House kitchen staff.
