Arti Ajit Hirani has officially stepped into her new role as President of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division (YLD), making history as the second Indian-American to ever lead the organization. The milestone moment was celebrated during the 75th Annual Convention of The Florida Bar, with the announcement made by Meenakshi A. Hirani PA.
Arti Hirani, who previously broke barriers as the first Indian-American and the youngest individual to serve as President of the Orange County Bar Association, highlighted the significance of her appointment. “This moment is incredibly personal but also a powerful sign of progress in Florida’s legal profession,” Hirani said. “My goal is to make the YLD more accessible and relevant for young lawyers, no matter where they are in their career paths.”
The YLD, working alongside The Florida Bar Board of Governors, is preparing to introduce a new statewide legaljob fair later this year. This initiative aims to widen opportunities in mentorship, leadership, and career advancement for emerging legal professionals throughout Florida.
The Florida Bar operates as a unified, mandatory body, with automatic YLD membership extended to attorneys under the age of 36 or within their first five years of practice. Hirani’s leadership is expected to usher in a new era of support for these early-career lawyers.
Sia Baker-Barnes, the incoming President of The Florida Bar, praised Hirani’s leadership, stating, “Arti is a brilliant attorney, a dedicated leader, and a close friend. I’m thrilled to work alongside her as we strive to uplift the legal field and those within it.”
Meenakshi A. Hirani, P.A., the family-run law firm behind this proud announcement, has earned a reputation for guiding clients through complex legal matters across Florida. With over 25 years of experience, the firm specializes in estate planning, real estate law, and business legal services, delivering tailored counsel with a personal touch.
Arti Hirani’s appointment marks more than a new chapter in her own career—it signals a broader shift toward diversity, inclusion, and empowerment in Florida’s legal landscape.
