The event, named ‘Asha@90 Live,’ is scheduled at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena, where the iconic singer will enthrall the audience with renditions of her most cherished tracks, celebrating her birthday in style.
Engaging with the press recently, Bhosle discussed the upcoming concert, even treating them to a rendition of ‘Tu Tu Hai Wahi.’ Boasting a career spanning more than eight decades, the Padma Vibhushan recipient has left her indelible mark by recording songs in multiple languages. Her accomplishments include two National Film Awards, 18 Maharashtra State Film Awards, and two Grammy nominations.
Having an extensive repertoire of over 12,000 songs across languages, Bhosle’s versatility shines through collaborations with diverse music directors, including O.P. Nayyar, Khayyam, Shankar-Jaikishan, R.D. Burman (whom she married in 1980), A.R. Rahman, and Ilaiyaraaja.
Coming from the esteemed Mangeshkar family, she stands as the sister of the late playback legend, Lata Mangeshkar. Asha Bhosle embarked on her cinematic journey with modest-budget productions before ascending to contribute her melodious voice to some of the most iconic hits in Hindi cinema.
