Sunny Deol has unveiled the first look and motion poster of his upcoming crime thriller, Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak, offering a glimpse of his rugged and intense avatar. Directed by Malayalam filmmaker M. Padmakumar, the film is scheduled to release in theatres on November 20.
The first-look poster features Deol with a weathered face, an intense gaze and a brooding expression, setting the tone for a dark and suspenseful narrative. The visual hints at a story involving buried secrets, justice and a troubled past. The poster carries the tagline, “Torn between his past and present, he uncovers the truth,” suggesting a protagonist caught between unresolved events and a search for answers.
Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak, whose title translates to “From End to Beginning”, is a Hindi adaptation of the 2018 Malayalam crime thriller Joseph, written by Shahi Kabir. The original film received critical acclaim for its investigative storyline and exploration of human relationships, moral dilemmas and the complexities of justice.
Sunny Deol reportedly plays a retired police officer who becomes involved in an investigation that draws him into a complicated web of crime, secrets and unanswered questions. The narrative is expected to explore themes of justice, personal conflict and the consequences of confronting the past. While the first look establishes the film’s sombre atmosphere, the makers have yet to reveal further details about the Hindi adaptation’s storyline.
The project marks M. Padmakumar’s Bollywood directorial debut. Known for his work in Malayalam cinema, the filmmaker takes on the task of adapting the acclaimed thriller for Hindi-speaking audiences while bringing his own interpretation to its central themes.
The film features an ensemble cast comprising Ravi Kishan, Pragya Jaiswal, Jisshu Sengupta, Tinu Anand, Manish Wadhwa and Tanushree Chakraborty. Rohit Tiwari and Anoop Trivedi are also part of the project.
Presented by Kamal Mukut, Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak is produced by Deepak Mukut, Hemmant Mukut and Lokesh Mukut under the MM Moviez banner. Zee Music Company is associated with the film’s music.
With Sunny Deol in a compelling new avatar and a critically acclaimed Malayalam thriller serving as its source material, Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak is set to bring a suspense-driven story of investigation, justice and unresolved past events to the big screen.
