The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), an official agency focused on promoting American jobs through facilitating U.S. exports, has appointed Indian American business experts to its advisory subcommittees. These subcommittees include the Council on Climate, Council on China Competition, Council on Advancing Women in Business, and Council on Small Business.
Pavneet Singh, CEO of Infobalize and former member of the National Security and Economic Councils in the Obama administration, has joined the Council on China Competition. This committee aims to enhance U.S. leadership in relation to China and support American innovation and employment through competitive export finance.
Nava Akkineni, Vice President of Emerging Markets at Nextracker; Karl Mehta, Chairman of Quad Investors Network; Subha Nagarajan, Chairman and Managing Director of Global Capital Advisory at GE Energy Financial Services; and Meghan Pasricha, Managing Director of Riverstone Holdings, have been appointed to the Council on Climate. This council helps identify private-sector financing opportunities in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy storage to fulfill the agency’s environmental objectives.
Daniel Rajaiah, Director of Global Strategy & Operations at Mastercard and recipient of the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman in 2020, has been appointed to the Council on Small Business. This council focuses on supporting small businesses and their export initiatives.
