Suresh U. Kumar, a serial entrepreneur and professor of innovation and entrepreneurship at NJIT, has been chosen by the board of directors of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a group of businesspeople, corporate leaders, and senior professionals in Silicon Valley, to lead the organization for a two-year term beginning July 1, 2023.
TiE New Jersey is ready to continue growing and achieve new heights with Suresh’s appointment. He will represent the NJ chapter at the Silicon Valley TiECon in 2023 and the TiEGlobal CM Summit in Rio de Janeiro.
Suresh served as a member of the Biden-Harris Campaign 2020 Economic Development Subcommittee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship in addition to his current position on the TiE New Jersey Board of Directors. In 2019, he served as the organization’s first chairman. In 2011, he finished his doctoral work on immigrants of Asian descent.
TiE Global is a non-profit organization that assists business owners in a range of industries and across the whole entrepreneurial life cycle. Mentoring, networking, education, funding, and incubation are the five core programs that make up TiE’s initiatives. Each has a local and worldwide focus.
In 61 chapters across 12 countries, there are currently more than 12,000 members and 1,800 charter members. Over the past 25 years of operation, TiE Chapters all over the world have developed into a thriving platform for business owners, professionals, opinion leaders in their fields, and investors to connect and build enduring relationships.
