Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged people to prioritize preventive healthcare and adopt healthier lifestyle practices on the occasion of Dhanteras, highlighting the importance of Ayurveda in maintaining long-term health and well-being.
In a social media message, Modi encouraged families to make a commitment to better health, noting that Ayurveda emphasizes preserving health rather than focusing only on treating illnesses.
The Prime Minister highlighted simple practices such as mindful eating, regular Yoga, adequate sleep and timely health screenings as important steps towards preventing diseases and improving quality of life.
He also described investing in the health of family members as one of the most valuable commitments, encouraging households to give equal importance to physical and mental well-being alongside material prosperity.
The Prime Minister’s Office also emphasized that Dhanteras offers an opportunity for families to renew their commitment to healthier living.
Minister of State for Ayush Prataprao Jadhav echoed the message, urging people to invest in family health alongside material wealth. He linked the initiative to the broader vision of ‘Swasth Bharat’ and ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.
The message highlights the importance of integrating preventive healthcare, traditional wellness practices and healthy daily habits into family life to build a healthier future.
