A new business initiative aimed at strengthening commercial connections between India and the United States has opened in Piscataway, New Jersey. India’s Consul General in New York, Ambassador Binaya Srikanta Pradhan, inaugurated the 5,800-square-foot U.S.-India Collaborative Corridor (USICC), a facility designed to help Indian manufacturers, startups and technology companies establish a presence in the American market while assisting U.S. businesses exploring opportunities in India.
The inauguration, held on October 31, 2026, brought together more than 100 representatives from government, business and institutional organizations. The center already accommodates seven Indian companies working toward establishing their U.S. operations and features products from more than 50 Indian brands.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Pradhan connected the initiative with Mission 500, the India-U.S. objective of expanding bilateral trade to $500 billion by 2030. He emphasized the importance of introducing new exporters, importers and commercial opportunities to strengthen economic cooperation.
A major highlight was the launch of the One District One Product (ODOP) Marketplace, showcasing traditional products and craftsmanship from 12 Indian states. Its collection includes textiles, metalwork, tea, beverages and other regionally produced goods. The permanent marketplace allows American buyers, distributors and business delegations to explore Indian products and establish commercial connections.
Founded by Navin Pathak and Jayanti Chandrasekar under the EntryOpen brand, USICC addresses challenges faced by businesses seeking affordable, continuous access to international markets. The facility includes private offices, meeting rooms, a Business Lounge and product display areas.
Its services also cover company registration, warehousing, logistics, customs coordination and market-entry assistance. For technology startups, it provides connections with investors, enterprise customers and industry partners.
The initiative builds on Entry Open’s experience supporting more than 1,000 companies. Its previous programs include an investor forum connecting 18 Indian DeepTech companies with 10 investors and four market-access experts.
Going forward, USICC plans to welcome additional companies, organize buyer engagements and expand investment and technology partnerships, creating new opportunities for businesses across both countries.
