Yash Raj Films has unveiled the title of its upcoming romantic action-drama starring Ahaan Panday and Sharvari. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film has been named Beparwah and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 26, 2027, coinciding with the Good Friday holiday.
The announcement marks a new milestone for the project, which had remained untitled since its release date was first revealed in July. The film was shot extensively in the United Kingdom and brings together Panday and Sharvari for their first on-screen collaboration. Aditya Chopra is producing the project, with Zafar and Chopra jointly writing the screenplay.
Beparwah also marks the fifth collaboration between Zafar and Chopra. Their previous projects include Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011), Gunday (2014), Sultan (2016) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017). The latter two films, starring Salman Khan, achieved major commercial success and strengthened Zafar’s reputation as a director of large-scale Hindi action entertainers.
Zafar has since directed Khan in Bharat (2019), created the political thriller series Tandav (2021) for Prime Video and helmed Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2024), featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. With Beparwah, he returns to the big screen with a project combining romance and action.
For Ahaan Panday, the film follows the success of his debut, Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri. The musical romance, which paired him with Aneet Padda, emerged as one of Bollywood’s biggest hits of 2025, earning more than $65 million worldwide and setting a record for the highest-grossing Indian love story, according to the report. Its success established Panday as a promising new face in Hindi cinema.
Sharvari has also built a strong profile through a series of notable projects. She made her debut with Yash Raj Films’ Bunty Aur Babli 2 in 2021 before gaining wider recognition with the horror-comedy Munjya in 2024, which grossed more than $14 million at the box office. She subsequently starred opposite Alia Bhatt in Alpha, the first female-led instalment in YRF’s spy universe.
The cast of Beparwah also includes Bobby Deol and Aaishvary Thackeray. Deol previously worked with Sharvari in Alpha, while Thackeray, the grandson of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray, is set to play the antagonist.
The film represents another significant project for Yash Raj Films, one of India’s leading production houses. Founded in 1970 by the late filmmaker Yash Chopra, the studio is now led by his son Aditya Chopra and has built a broad portfolio spanning romance, drama, action and franchise filmmaking.
YRF’s spy universe, which includes Tiger Zinda Hai, the War films and Pathaan, remains one of its most prominent properties. With Beparwah, the studio is turning its attention to a new pairing and a romantic action-driven narrative.
Although plot details remain under wraps, the combination of Zafar’s action-film experience, Panday’s post-Saiyaara popularity and Sharvari’s growing presence in mainstream cinema has positioned Beparwah as a notable upcoming Bollywood release. The film is expected to draw attention as audiences await further details about its story, music and promotional campaign ahead of its March 2027 theatrical debut.
