A remarkable celebration of faith, culture, and artistic excellence unfolded in Edison, New Jersey, as the Vallabh Youth Organization-NJ (VYO-NJ) and Umiya Dham-NJ hosted the International Shrinathji Divya Jeevan Darshan Scroll Painting Exhibition. The two-day event, held on May 30 and 31, marked the first time that the extraordinary 40-meter, or 131-foot, continuous scroll painting depicting the divine life of Shrinathji was displayed in the United States.
The exhibition attracted hundreds of devotees, families, and community members eager to witness the masterpiece, which chronicles the sacred journey and divine pastimes of Shrinathji through an uninterrupted visual narrative. The presentation offered attendees an immersive experience that blended spirituality, cultural education, and artistic brilliance.
Visitors described the exhibition as deeply moving, emphasizing its ability to strengthen connections with their religious roots while providing a meaningful opportunity to pass traditions on to younger generations. For many, the event served not only as an expression of devotion but also as a reminder of the importance of preserving India’s spiritual legacy abroad.
Manu Dadhania, President of VYO-NJ and Vice Chairman of Umiya Dham-NJ, noted that the exhibition inspired people of all ages and reinforced the community’s commitment to safeguarding sacred traditions for the future. Attendees echoed similar sentiments, with many expressing admiration for the intricate storytelling and emotional depth captured throughout the scroll.
A major highlight of the event was the presence of the distinguished artist duo, Madhu Vekariya and Ghanshyam Vekariya from Surat, India. The couple has earned recognition from both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records for their earlier achievement involving a 100-meter continuous scroll painting dedicated to Shri Mahaprabhuji. Their latest creation, focused on Shrinathji’s divine life, required approximately 11,000 hours of dedication spread across nearly three years before its completion in April 2026.
The artists expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic response, particularly from young attendees who demonstrated a keen interest in understanding the spiritual significance behind the artwork. Their engagement reflected the success of educational initiatives conducted by VYO-NJ, aimed at introducing children to the teachings and heritage of the Pushtimarg tradition.
Throughout the weekend, the atmosphere was filled with devotion, learning, and community spirit. Organizers credited volunteers, donors, artists, and attendees for making the exhibition a resounding success.
The event reinforced the commitment of VYO-NJ and Umiya Dham-NJ to promoting spiritual awareness, preserving cultural identity, and strengthening community bonds through meaningful programs. By bringing this historic artistic achievement to the United States, the organizations created a powerful platform for celebrating India’s timeless traditions while inspiring future generations to remain connected to their heritage.
