Prime Minister reaffirmed the growing strength of India’s relationship with the during his visit to Abu Dhabi on Friday, stating that both nations remain committed to building a stronger and more sustainable future together. Following extensive discussions with UAE President , Modi described the talks as productive and comprehensive, highlighting the deep trust shared between the two countries.
According to India’s Ministry of External Affairs, the leaders reviewed multiple areas of cooperation aimed at expanding the bilateral partnership. Their discussions covered major sectors including energy, trade, investment, infrastructure, shipping, defense, financial technology, blue economy initiatives, and advanced technology collaborations. Both sides also exchanged views on the evolving geopolitical situation in West Asia and several international concerns affecting global stability.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi strongly criticized the recent attacks targeting the UAE and condemned any attempts to undermine the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Indian leader praised the UAE leadership for maintaining calm and unity during challenging circumstances while ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, including the Indian diaspora living in the Gulf nation.
Modi also expressed appreciation to the UAE government and royal family for supporting Indian citizens during difficult times. He acknowledged the leadership’s efforts in protecting the Indian community and maintaining national security amid regional tensions.
The visit resulted in the signing and exchange of several important agreements designed to strengthen the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. These agreements focused on key sectors such as energy, defense, shipping infrastructure, and emerging technologies, giving fresh momentum to cooperation between the two nations.
In a major economic development, the UAE announced an investment commitment of approximately $5 million in India. Officials stated that the investment is expected to enhance infrastructure growth, strengthen markets, and contribute to India’s long-term energy security goals.
Prime Minister Modi also emphasized the importance of maintaining free and secure access through the Strait of Hormuz, calling it essential for global trade and regional stability. He reiterated India’s belief in diplomacy and dialogue as the preferred path for resolving international conflicts and assured the UAE of India’s continued support in promoting peace and stability across the region.
