Prime Minister Narendra Modi has crossed the landmark figure of 30 million subscribers on YouTube, emerging as the most-followed global leader on the video-sharing platform.
With this milestone, PM Modi now leads worldwide rankings among serving and former heads of government in terms of subscriber base. His channel significantly outpaces other prominent political figures, underscoring the scale of his digital engagement and international outreach.
Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro holds the second position with around 6.6 million subscribers — roughly a quarter of PM Modi’s total. The Indian Prime Minister’s subscriber count is also reported to be more than seven times that of US President Donald Trump, reflecting his dominant presence in the global digital space.
Domestically, the gap remains substantial. PM Modi’s YouTube subscriber base is nearly three times larger than that of Rahul Gandhi. It is also more than four times higher than the official channels of both the Aam Aadmi Party and the Indian National Congress individually.
The milestone follows another significant digital achievement earlier this year, when PM Modi surpassed 100 million followers on Instagram, becoming the first serving world leader to reach the mark on the platform. Having joined Instagram in 2014, he has steadily expanded his online presence over the past decade.
On Instagram, PM Modi commands the largest follower base among global leaders, with a tally more than double that of Donald Trump. Other prominent leaders trail significantly behind in follower count, further highlighting the scale of his digital footprint.
On X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister has over 106 million followers, while his Facebook page maintains a following exceeding 54 million.
The figures collectively reflect a sustained digital communication strategy that has positioned PM Modi as one of the most influential political figures globally across social media platforms, particularly among younger audiences.
