Lapid, in his post written in Hindi, described Modi as a trusted friend of Israel and highlighted the deep-rooted friendship that extends beyond strategic collaboration. He noted that the people of Israel were enthusiastic about welcoming the Indian leader for the two-day State Visit, underscoring the emotional and diplomatic depth of the relationship.
This marks Modi’s second visit to Israel, following his landmark trip in 2017 that expanded cooperation in defense, agriculture, and water management. That earlier engagement laid the groundwork for stronger institutional ties and opened new pathways for joint initiatives.
Calling the current trip “historic,” Modi stated that it would further energize bilateral relations.
