According to a statement from T-Ten Global Sports, the league’s Abu Dhabi-based organizers, the US Masters T10 league’s inaugural season will take place in Dallas, Texas. Entrepreneur of Indian descent Ritesh Patel, who also owns SAMP Army, one of the league’s clubs, is helping to co-organize the league in the United States.
Patel shared his excitement for the US season, saying, “We are excited to bring this fast, explosive cricket format to the USA. Players participating in this tournament have a huge following all over the globe, and this is a great opportunity for American fans to witness this for the first time on American soil.”
The league, which is based on a 10-over format, will feature both established players and up-and-coming talent. Legendary cricketers who recently left the international format will also participate. Corey Anderson, Misbah-ul-Haq, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, and other prominent domestic cricketers were there for the US Masters T10 League’s debut.
The US season will reportedly feature six teams, although the organizers are ready for an eight-team cap after assessing the level of demand. There is still debate about the dates. Among the teams that have been officially announced for the season are the Morrisville Unity squad and the NY Warriors T10.
