Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s annual student interaction program, Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), is set to return in 2025 with a refreshed format and an expanded lineup of notable personalities. The initiative, designed to help students handle exam pressure, will now include insights from figures like Deepika Padukone, Mary Kom, Avani Lekhara, Vikrant Massey, Bhumi Pednekar, Rujuta Diwekar, Technical Guruji, Radhika Gupta, Sonali Sabharwal, and FoodPharmer. The event will take place at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi in a town hall-style format.
Launched in 2018, PPC has grown into a national movement, with its eighth edition in 2025 receiving 35.6 million registrations—an increase of 13 million from the previous edition’s 22.6 million participants. This surge highlights the program’s rising popularity among students, teachers, and parents. By encouraging students to view exams as a positive challenge rather than a source of stress, PPC has evolved into a mass movement promoting mental well-being and holistic education.
In the weeks leading up to PPC 2025, a series of activities were conducted across India from January 12 (National Youth Day) to January 25 (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti). These events engaged 14.2 million students, 1.28 million teachers, and 294,000 schools. Activities ranged from indigenous sports like Kho-Kho and Kabaddi to creative competitions such as poster-making, meme contests, and street plays. Students also participated in discussions, meditation, and yoga sessions to build focus and relaxation techniques.
Since its inception, PM Modi’s interactive initiative has provided students with valuable strategies to manage exam stress effectively. While the first three editions were held in-person in New Delhi, the fourth edition was conducted online due to the pandemic. The fifth, sixth, and seventh editions reverted to the town hall format at Talkatora Stadium. With its growing success, PPC continues to shape a stress-free learning culture across India.
