Speaking at a business reception organized by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) in Atlanta, Kwatra emphasized India’s strong economic growth and its increasing role in global supply chains. He invited companies from the region to explore opportunities in manufacturing, technology, and other emerging sectors while contributing to the vision of “Viksit Bharat.”
Kwatra also highlighted the shared objective of expanding India-US economic ties and moving toward achieving $500 billion in bilateral trade. He said that stronger collaboration between businesses in both countries could create new opportunities in investment, innovation, and supply chain development.
The ambassador’s engagement in Atlanta reflects growing efforts to expand India-US commercial partnerships beyond traditional business centers and connect with regional economic hubs across the United States. The southeastern US has become an important area for trade, manufacturing, logistics, and technology growth.
During his visit to Georgia, Kwatra held several high-level meetings focused on strengthening cooperation in areas including trade, investment, logistics, innovation, and education. He met Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and discussed ways to expand India-Georgia economic relations, improve connectivity, and create more opportunities for collaboration in business and education.
Kwatra also met UPS Chief Executive Officer Carol Tome to discuss the future of India-US economic cooperation, including supply chain resilience, logistics networks, and the company’s expanding presence in India. He noted that India’s growing economy offers significant opportunities for global companies looking to invest in manufacturing, innovation, and long-term partnerships.
As part of his engagements, the ambassador participated in an India-US Education Roundtable hosted by the Consulate, bringing together academic leaders from universities across the southeastern United States. The discussions focused on strengthening educational connections and encouraging greater collaboration between institutions in both countries.
