Inogen, Inc., a leader in medical technology known for its innovative homecare respiratory products, has announced the addition of Mira Kirti Sahney to its Board of Directors, effective January 31, 2025. This decision follows the retirement of Tom West, who had been serving on the board since April 2023, with his departure on January 30, 2025.
“I’m truly honored to join Inogen’s Board during such a transformative period for the company,” stated Mira Sahney. “I’m eager to contribute to Inogen’s efforts in delivering exceptional value to shareholders and cutting-edge solutions to our patients.”
As part of her new role, Sahney will serve on both the Compliance Committee and the Nominating and Governance Committee of the Board.
Elizabeth Mora, Chairperson of the Board, expressed enthusiasm over the appointment, emphasizing Sahney’s extensive background in management, technical, and operational aspects of the medical device industry. “Mira’s expertise will significantly enhance our Board as we continue to solidify Inogen’s position as a global leader in respiratory care,” said Mora.
Mora also extended her gratitude to Tom West for his contributions over the last two years. West has been instrumental in driving Inogen’s transformation, and his leadership will be missed as the company moves forward.
Mira Sahney brings with her a wealth of experience from various leadership positions. She currently serves on the board of Claria Medical, a company specializing in minimally invasive surgical tools. Before this, she held the role of President of the Pelvic Health Operating Unit at Medtronic from 2021 to 2024. Her previous leadership positions also include President, CEO, and Director of Hyalex Orthopaedics, where she played a crucial role in the company’s innovation. Sahney has also held senior leadership roles at Smith + Nephew and co-founded Myomo, Inc., a company focused on wearable robotics for neurological disorders.
