Ashrit Talluri, a 14-year-old Indian-origin student from Georgia, has earned a perfect 1600 on the SAT, achieving the maximum possible score in both Mathematics and Reading and Writing. The ninth-grade student at Innovation Academy in Fulton County took the college entrance exam in June 2026 after spending five months preparing for the test.
Talluri began studying after registering for the SAT in January. His preparation included working with a tutor, using online educational resources, watching instructional videos, and completing more than two dozen practice tests. Before taking the official examination, he had already achieved a 1600 on three practice tests.
Despite his extensive preparation, Talluri said he experienced some nervousness during the Reading and Writing portion of the actual exam. He told FOX 5 that he focused on controlling his nerves and staying calm during the test.
His academic progress extends well beyond the standard ninth-grade curriculum. During middle school, Talluri completed 14.5 high school credits and participated in college-level summer programs at Harvard University and Rice University. He is currently enrolled in two college-level courses through a dual-enrollment program.
Outside the classroom, Talluri has developed interests across several fields. Chess is among his hobbies, while aviation and technology also feature prominently in his activities. He participates in hackathons around the Atlanta metropolitan area and has expressed interest in artificial intelligence, computer science, medicine, and research.
Following his SAT achievement, Talluri has begun sharing his knowledge with other students preparing for the examination. In his spare time, he creates practice questions and studies different approaches to test-taking.
He has also taken on a leadership role at The1550Formula, an AI-powered SAT preparation platform. Talluri has said he wants to support other students in the same way that people helped him during his own preparation.
Talluri hopes to become a neurosurgeon and plans to combine his interests in medicine, neuroscience, and technology. His broader interest in artificial intelligence has also led him to develop technology projects across several fields.
Public information associated with his profile lists platforms including HealthLens, AI-Namo, GreenGuide, CerebroAegis, and Vexen, described as AI-powered projects spanning healthcare, agriculture, government technology, and AI security.
Talluri’s family has roots in Tenali, in Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur district. Telugu media reports say his parents, Taruni and Ramanaresh, moved to the United States in 2008 and later settled in Georgia.
At 14, Talluri is combining an accelerated academic path with interests in technology, medicine, research, and community education as he prepares for his future studies and career.
