During his visit, General Schneider engaged in discussions aimed at strengthening long-standing military ties and expanding cooperation between the two countries. The focus of these interactions was to enhance operational collaboration and improve coordination across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains. Both sides emphasized that the partnership continues to grow in scope and complexity, driven by shared democratic values and mutual interests in maintaining stability across the Indo-Pacific region.
The US Embassy highlighted that recent years have seen a significant rise in joint military exercises, training programs, and leadership exchanges between India and the United States. These engagements have improved interoperability, enabling both forces to operate together more effectively in a variety of operational and contingency scenarios.
A major focus of the discussions during the visit was the strengthening of logistics cooperation. Officials noted that this cooperation strengthens the ability of both nations to provide timely assistance and maintain a strong operational presence in the Indo-Pacific region.
General Schneider also visited several Indian operational and training facilities, where he observed ongoing activities and interacted with personnel. These visits underscored the increasing trust and integration between the armed forces of both countries. The engagements were seen as part of a broader effort to modernize defence capabilities and ensure preparedness for emerging global security challenges.
The US Embassy stated that India remains a crucial partner for the United States in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific. It added that the visit reaffirmed the strength of the India-US Major Defence Partnership and signaled continued momentum in expanding cooperation across strategic and operational areas.
