Squadron Leader Sindhu Reddy, an Indian Air Force helicopter pilot, will lead the marching contingent of the Indian Air Force during the Bastille Day parade in Paris. The parade, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the guest of honour, will feature marching contingents from the Army, Navy, and IAF, alongside their French counterparts.
Expressing her pride and gratitude, Squadron Leader Reddy acknowledged the honor of representing the IAF on foreign soil and credited the country and the Air Force for entrusting her with this responsibility. She eagerly anticipated the reaction of the French people.
When asked about the message she wishes to convey, Reddy emphasized the belief that nothing is impossible. She encouraged individuals to pursue their aspirations without allowing anyone to discourage them, asserting that one’s life choices are their own, and positive outcomes await those who remain determined and persistent.
Reddy’s passion for flying led her to choose her profession, which was sparked during her childhood in Bangalore while watching aircraft at airshows. She vividly recalls gazing at the sky, declaring to her mother that one day she would be up there.
In addition to the marching contingent, four Rafale fighter jets from the Indian Air Force will participate in the flypast alongside their French counterparts over the Champs Elysees.
