In a nationwide celebration of India’s strategic victory under Operation Sindoor, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched an 11-day Tiranga Yatra on May 13 to honour the unmatched bravery of the country’s armed forces. The campaign, infused with patriotic spirit, is being held across multiple states to pay tribute to the Indian Army, Air Force, Navy, and the Border Security Forces for their precise and successful strikes on terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
In the capital city, Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta along with Cabinet ministers, BJP MLAs, and senior leaders actively participated in the yatra. The event was hailed as a powerful moment of national unity and pride.
Srinagar witnessed a striking show of patriotism as citizens and party workers gathered for the Tiranga Yatra. Beginning at Shaheed-e-Kashmir Park and culminating at Lal Chowk’s Clock Tower, the march was marked by chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” reflecting widespread support for the armed forces in the region.
Kathua, another key city in Jammu and Kashmir, echoed with slogans like “Indian Army Zindabad” and “Vande Mataram,” showcasing deep public admiration for India’s defence forces.
The Tiranga Yatra in Jharkhand covered key districts like Dhanbad, Sahibganj, Chatra, and Palamu, drawing enthusiastic participation from local communities. In Sahibganj, BJP leader Anant Ojha highlighted the broad participation—from saints and social activists to NCC cadets, traders, and veterans—coming together to salute India’s armed personnel.
Rajasthan saw Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari taking part in the march, joining locals in chanting patriotic slogans and praising the country’s military might.
In Haryana’s Sonipat, Deputy Speaker Krishan Lal Middha acknowledged the success of Operation Sindoor, noting how Indian forces had struck deep within enemy territory, proving India’s strength on the global stage.
Ayodhya, the revered city in Uttar Pradesh, joined the Tiranga Yatra with thousands marching through its streets, waving the Tricolour and chanting slogans of unity.
Down south, Karnataka’s capital Bengaluru added a unique cultural touch to the celebration. Children dressed as Bharat Mata led the Tiranga Yatra, followed by party leaders and citizens marching together, proudly waving the national flag.
BJP’s Tiranga Yatra has become a unifying symbol of gratitude and pride, commemorating a strategic military success while reaffirming the country’s unwavering support for its armed forces.
