Aura, a digital security firm headquartered in Boston, has appointed Ravi Narula as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) as part of a strategic initiative to strengthen its financial leadership. According to an official statement from the company, this decision aligns with Aura’s objectives to drive revenue growth and improve its market position.
Before joining Aura, Narula held the position of CFO at Certinia, where he played a crucial role in implementing significant business changes that led to notable enhancements in both revenue and profitability. His efforts ultimately contributed to a successful exit and added substantial value for shareholders. Prior to his role at Certinia, Narula served as CFO at Ooma, where he led the company through its initial public offering (IPO) in 2015, demonstrating his adeptness in managing complex financial scenarios.
Narula will directly report to Hari Ravichandran, Aura’s CEO. Ravichandran expressed confidence in Narula’s appointment, emphasizing his extensive experience and track record of success in the technology services sector. He praised Narula’s ability to navigate the challenges of a rapidly evolving industry and expressed optimism about the contributions Narula will make to Aura’s growth trajectory.
Acknowledging Narula’s professional achievements, he was recognized as one of the top 25 CFOs in San Francisco in 2023 by Finance and Investing. Narula holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Garhwal, India, and completed the CFO Leadership Program at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. Additionally, he is a Chartered Accountant in both India and Canada and holds an inactive Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in the United States.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Narula is actively involved in philanthropy and serves on the Board of ChildFund International, underscoring his commitment to making a positive impact beyond the confines of the business world.
