Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi to Release on August 1, 2025

On the birthday of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the makers of Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi revealed the official release date of the biographical film and shared a striking new poster.

The poster gives a dramatic glimpse into the film’s portrayal of Yogi Adityanath’s journey. Actor Anantvijay Joshi, seen in saffron robes, embodies spiritual strength and resolve, representing the leader’s disciplined, purpose-driven life. The image captures his intensity and symbolic leadership.

Accompanying the poster, the makers shared the caption:
“Jag chhoda, Bhagwa odha, seva mein ramm gaya. Ek Yogi — jo akela hi poora aandolan ban gaya!”

Producer Ritu Mengi called the announcement a heartfelt tribute to Yogi Adityanath’s extraordinary life, emphasizing that Ajey is a story of transformation guided by sacrifice, duty, and dharma.

The film is based on Shantanu Gupta’s bestselling biography The Monk Who Became Chief Minister and explores the spiritual and political rise of Yogi Adityanath.

Ajey is directed by Ravindra Gautam and produced by Ritu Mengi. The screenplay is written by Dilip Bachchan Jha and Priyank Dubey, with music composed by Meet Bros. Associate producer B-Live Productions (Suuraj Singh) joins the production, with Vishnu Rao as cinematographer and Udai Prakash Singh handling production design.

Set to release in cinemas on August 1, 2025, the film stars Anantvijay Joshi in the lead role and features a notable supporting cast, including Paresh Rawal, Dineshlal Yadav Nirahua, Ajay Mengi, Rajesh Khattar, Pawan Malhotra, and Garima Vikrant Singh.
