In a significant development for Hindu American representation in public life, Americans4Hindus (A4H) officially launched its newest state chapter in Ohio on November 14, 2025. The inaugural gathering, hosted at the home of Neil Niranjan and Jagruti Patel in Columbus, marked a major step in expanding the organization’s national presence and strengthening grassroots political participation across the state.
During the ceremony, Neil Patel was formally appointed President of the A4H Ohio Chapter. Accepting the role with enthusiasm, Patel pledged to advance A4H’s Mission and Vision by building a strong pipeline of Hindu and pro-Hindu candidates. Drawing from his own experience as a former U.S. Senate contender, he committed to supporting leaders at every level — from school boards and city councils to statewide offices including the Governor’s seat. His message centered on mobilizing the community, increasing civic involvement, and ensuring meaningful representation in public policy.
The launch event drew an impressive number of Hindu community leaders, many of whom joined A4H as Trustees, Champions, and Members. Their participation signaled a growing momentum behind the movement to strengthen Hindu American voices in the political arena.
A highlight of the evening was a special address by Ohio State Senator Niraj Antani, who credited Americans4Hindus for supporting his own electoral campaigns. He encouraged attendees to step forward into public service, emphasizing that Hindu Americans must be active contributors within local, state, and federal government to influence decisions that shape their communities.
A4H Founder and Chairman Dr. Romesh Japra delivered the keynote speech, laying out the organization’s structure, including its Federal Super PAC, Hybrid PAC, and 18 State PACs. He underscored the importance of fostering leaders who can advocate for Hindu American issues at City Halls, State Capitols, and on Capitol Hill.
The Ohio launch was followed by an important engagement on November 15, when an A4H delegation met Vivek Ramaswamy, the Republican candidate for Ohio Governor. A4H formally endorsed him, and Ramaswamy reaffirmed his mission to serve Ohioans while representing the aspirations and concerns of Hindu Americans statewide.
National A4H leaders — including Vidya Mishra, Neeraj Kashalkar, Dr. Raman Sood, Sandeep Deswal, and Manan Raval — attended the series of events, signaling unity and a growing nationwide presence.
With the launch of its Ohio Chapter, A4H continues strengthening its mission to empower Hindu American communities through civic engagement, political leadership, and fair representation across the United States.
