American singer Mary Millben, known for her admiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praised him for publicly honoring Jesus Christ. On Tuesday, Millben shared her Christmas greetings with PM Modi on social media, expressing gratitude for his acknowledgment of her “saviour” during a Christmas event hosted by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI) in Delhi.
She posted on X, formerly Twitter, expressing gratitude: “Bless you, @PMOIndia. Jesus Christ is the ultimate gift and embodiment of love. Thank you #PMModi for publicly honoring my Savior at the @IndianBishops Christmas Celebration.” She also highlighted the prime minister’s message about celebrating love, harmony, and brotherhood, stating that his words deeply moved her.
Millben extended her Christmas wishes to Indians, tweeting, “Merry Christmas to all my brothers and sisters in #India.” The singer, who has performed for four U.S. Presidents—George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and Joe Biden—has a history of appreciating PM Modi’s initiatives. She previously commended the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) as a significant step in democracy and praised Modi for providing refuge to persecuted religious minorities.
Millben first met PM Modi during his U.S. visit in June last year, where she performed the Indian national anthem and garnered attention for respectfully touching his feet after her performance. At Monday’s CBCI event, PM Modi condemned a terror attack at a Christmas Market in Germany and reiterated Jesus Christ’s teachings of love and humanity, reinforcing the importance of these values in fostering global harmony.
