Ronak M. Jani, the Managing Director of the Jani Group of Companies and an Indian American, has been appointed to the External Advisory Board (EAB) of the University of California Merced (UC Merced).
In his new capacity, Jani offers strategic guidance leveraging his extensive expertise in the finance sector, aiming to enhance the university’s leadership, as outlined in a press release from the institution.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Jani affirmed his commitment to supporting UC Merced’s mission of delivering top-tier education to students from diverse backgrounds. He emphasized the university’s potential as a hub for innovation and pledged to assist in realizing its ambitious objectives.
With over two decades of experience in finance, Jani serves as the Managing Director of the Jani Group of Companies, a renowned multigenerational family enterprise headquartered in New York. The company operates globally, providing venture capital services and international financial solutions.
Jani earned his bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting and an MBA in Financial Management from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business in New York. He has also obtained certifications in quantitative modeling from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and commercial investment management from the CCIM Institute in Chicago.
Having overseen transactions totaling over $750 million domestically and $1 billion globally, Jani has led successful commercial developments and collaborated with Fortune 100 companies to optimize business operations.
Beyond his corporate endeavors, Jani has contributed to various organizations, serving on the boards of Lion’s Club, Rockland County Conservatory of Music, and TiE New York, an international organization supporting entrepreneurs.
The UC Merced School of Engineering’s EAB collaborates closely with the dean to foster strategic partnerships, address engineering needs, and execute development initiatives in alignment with the school’s long-term objectives.
