The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) predicts that the inauguration of Shri Ram Temple on January 22 will generate around $602.41 million in business across the country. CAIT’s secretary general, Praveen Khandelwal, highlighted the historic significance of the consecration, anticipating a surge in enthusiasm leading to increased purchases related to the Shri Ram Temple. Traders nationwide are gearing up for heightened demand, reflecting the deep roots of the Sanatan Economy in India.
In response to the event, Khandelwal and CAIT National President BC Bhartia have urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to declare January 22 as “Ram Rajya Diwas,” emphasizing Shri Ram’s role as the founder of India’s ancient culture and civilization. They announced a campaign in collaboration with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad leading up to the inauguration, promoting related business opportunities across states.
The trade leaders highlighted the vast array of products associated with the Shri Ram Temple, including special cloth garlands, lockets, key chains, pictures of Ram Darbar, and models of the temple. Models of Shri Ram Mandir, in particular, are witnessing high demand, providing employment to women and creating business opportunities for artisans and workers.
The production of kurtas, T-shirts, and other clothes featuring Shri Ram Temple prints is on the rise, with khadi fabric being used for embroidery or printing. The demand for earthen lamps, colors for rangoli, flowers, and electrical items for lighting is expected to surge, along with increased activity in the service sector, benefiting makers of promotional material and music-related businesses across the country.
CAIT takes on the coordination responsibility to unite business organizations across states, ensuring widespread economic opportunities during the campaign leading to the Shri Ram Temple inauguration.
