Ranveer Singh has delivered a massive global success with his latest release, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which has made a powerful impact at the international box office. The film recorded an impressive extended opening weekend collection of nearly $80 million, placing it among the top-performing films worldwide. With such strong momentum, it has secured the second position globally and is rapidly moving toward the $100 million milestone.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel has achieved a remarkable feat by outperforming several major international releases. It has moved ahead of big-budget films like Hoppers, Scream 7, and Ready or Not 2, highlighting the increasing global reach and acceptance of Bollywood cinema. The film’s performance reflects a growing audience base for Indian films beyond domestic markets.
In overseas territories, the movie opened with around $2.5 million from premiere shows, setting a new benchmark for Indian films internationally. Despite limited access to some key Gulf markets, the film maintained strong daily collections of approximately $4 million. By the end of the weekend, its international earnings reached about $22 million, with North America alone contributing nearly $9.6 million. This placed it among the top three films in that region for the weekend.
The film has also performed exceptionally well in India. Within just four days, it generated nearly $55 million net and about $65 million gross. What stands out is its consistent performance, as it crossed approximately $12 million for three consecutive days, setting a new record for a Hindi-language film. This steady growth significantly contributed to its global total, which approached $80 million within the opening weekend itself.
On the global stage, the film currently trails only behind Project Hail Mary, which secured the top spot with around $140 million. However, Dhurandhar 2 has surpassed several other competing titles, reinforcing its strong position in worldwide rankings.
This success marks an important milestone for Indian cinema, proving its ability to compete with major international productions. With its current pace, the film is expected to cross the $100 million mark soon, further strengthening its place among the highest-grossing films globally this year.
