On December 31, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt greetings to the nation on the second anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya. The Prime Minister described the occasion as a divine celebration of faith, tradition, and spiritual heritage, emphasizing the historic and religious significance of the festival.
In a post on X, PM Modi said the anniversary marks a sacred milestone for devotees across India and abroad, and he offered his salutations to Lord Shri Ram on behalf of the nation. He highlighted that the recently hoisted “dharma dhwaja” bears witness to the consecration of Ram Lalla, reinforcing Ayodhya’s role as a vital spiritual and cultural hub.
“Through the blessings of Lord Shri Ram, the centuries-old devotion of countless devotees has been fulfilled,” Modi remarked, recalling the Pran Pratishtha ceremony held on January 22, 2024. He noted that Ram Lalla now resides in his grand abode, and he expressed gratitude for having participated in the hoisting of the dharma flag last month. The Prime Minister further wished that the teachings and ideals of Lord Ram inspire service, dedication, and compassion among citizens, providing a strong foundation for a self-reliant and prosperous India.
The anniversary celebrations also saw Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offering prayers at the Ram Janmbhoomi Temple, participating in the Pratishtha Dwadashi rituals, and hoisting the flag at the Annapurna Temple. Ceremonial rites at the temple included Tattva Kalash, Tattva Homa, Manyu Sukta Homa, and Ram Taraka Mantra Homa, forming an integral part of the two-day Pratishtha Patotsav.
The second anniversary has reinforced Ayodhya’s status as a leading spiritual centre, attracting a continuous flow of devotees seeking Lord Ram’s blessings as the New Year begins. The celebrations reflect not only India’s enduring faith traditions but also the cultural and religious unity embodied in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir.
