Entrepreneur and Ohio gubernatorial hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy, along with his wife Apoorva, announced the arrival of their daughter, Savithri. The couple shared the joyful news on social media on February 4, posting a family photograph from the hospital to celebrate the occasion.
Savithri is the Ramaswamys’ third child. In their social media post, the couple confirmed that both mother and baby were in good health and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support they have received from friends, family, and the wider community. “Apoorva and I are delighted to announce the birth of our daughter, Savithri. Mom and baby are doing wonderfully, and our family is deeply thankful for the prayers and kind messages from Ohioans and friends nationwide,” Vivek shared. The family resides in the suburbs of Columbus.
Vivek Ramaswamy, now 40, is the son of Kerala-born immigrants who previously worked at a General Electric factory in Ohio. He rose to national prominence with his 2024 presidential campaign, which focused on criticizing “woke” culture and proposing the dismantling of affirmative action. Ramaswamy is currently running for governor of Ohio, seeking to translate his national profile into state-level political influence.
In addition to his political pursuits, Ramaswamy is a successful entrepreneur and investor, with Forbes estimating his net worth at $1.8 billion.
