Indian American presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has cautioned against an impending ground invasion of Gaza by Israel, emphasizing the need for a clear objective to avoid potential disaster for both Israel and the United States. Israel had been positioning itself for a full-scale invasion of Gaza, which is under the rule of Hamas. This concern was voiced during Vivek Ramaswamy’s appearance on the Tucker Carlson show, titled “How to Avoid World War III.” He stressed the importance of defining objectives and expressed his worry that a poorly defined war would not be beneficial for either Israel or the United States.
Vivek Ramaswamy reiterated his concerns in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), stating that an imminent ground invasion of Gaza without a clear objective would be disastrous for both nations.
He also previously highlighted the importance of border defense for the United States following a Hamas attack on Israel. Ramaswamy noted that the U.S. should take the attacks on Israel as a wake-up call to prioritize border defense, cyber and super-EMP defense, nuclear missile defense, and space-based defenses.
The conflict that began on October 7 has resulted in significant casualties on both sides, with thousands of Palestinians and over a thousand Israelis reported as killed or wounded. President Joe Biden visited Israel and stressed the urgency of providing relief to Palestinian civilians in Gaza who are facing shortages of food, water, and medicine. He emphasized the importance of addressing the humanitarian aspects of the conflict.
