Securonix, a Texas-based software development company, has appointed Venkat Kotla as its Chief Technology Officer. Kotla, an Indian-origin executive, is tasked with scaling the company’s engineering function and establishing partnerships with technology organizations to meet the growing demand for Securonix’s Unified Defense SIEM platform. Expressing excitement about joining a team focused on product development and innovation, Kotla aims to incorporate advanced technologies into the platform and foster partnerships with leading technology providers. Securonix’s CEO, Nayaki Nayyar, highlighted the importance of scaling the platform to meet the evolving needs of modern enterprises in the face of an expanding threat landscape.
Securonix’s Unified Defense SIEM platform is designed to defend modern enterprises against advanced threats. The platform provides organizations with 365 days of ‘Hot’ searchable data and has integrated ChatGPT to deliver generative AI capabilities.
Prior to joining Securonix, Kotla gained experience at companies like Atlassian, Ericsson, Fujitsu, and HCL Technologies. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani; a master’s in Science from George Mason University (where he has also served as adjunct faculty); and an MBA from The Wharton School.
