The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) hosted its 2024 Annual India Leadership Summit in New Delhi on October 14, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the United States for the Sixth Quad Leaders’ Summit and the United Nations General Assembly in September. The summit aimed to build on the momentum of growing ties between the US and India.
Key discussions at the summit revolved around enhancing supply chains, driving semiconductor investments, advancing artificial intelligence (AI) and next-generation technologies, strengthening defense partnerships, promoting clean energy initiatives, and expanding bilateral trade. Both nations emphasized their commitment to maintaining a free and open Indo-Pacific, a strategic priority for both governments.
The summit brought together senior Indian ministers, global business leaders, policymakers, and USISPF’s Board Delegation for high-level talks on trade, technology, defense, education, healthcare, and fostering stronger people-to-people connections. The USISPF Board, led by chairman John Chambers, included key figures from Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, and private equity investors. Participants included notable figures such as Mastercard CEO Michael Miebach, Lockheed Martin COO Frank St. John, Qualcomm President Alex Rogers, LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky, and Essar Capital Director Prashant Ruia.
John Chambers, Chairman of USISPF and CEO of JC2 Ventures, highlighted the unprecedented strength of US-India relations. He emphasized that as two leading democracies, the US and India have a unique opportunity to collaborate on technologies and strengthen ties across sectors such as digital transformation, defense, and clean energy.
Dr. Mukesh Aghi, President and CEO of USISPF, expressed a commitment to deepening economic ties and exploring solutions to enhance the strategic partnership between Washington and New Delhi.
