The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) is gearing up to host its annual leadership summit in Washington D.C. on Monday evening, coinciding with US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s visit to New Delhi for the Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET) Dialogue. This esteemed gathering brings together a diverse group of prominent figures from both countries, including policymakers, business leaders, senior officials, and key stakeholders.
The summit will explore innovative technologies, bolster US-India trade connections by reinforcing supply chains, and honor the contributions of Henry R. Kravis, co-founder and co-chairman of KKR, for his dedication to nurturing the US-India partnership. The event will feature remarks from key Republican senators, senior White House officials, and other distinguished guests.
Kravis will receive the 2024 Global Leadership Award for his unwavering commitment to strengthening the US-India relationship. Under his leadership, KKR has invested over $11 billion in India over the past two decades, creating thousands of jobs and contributing significantly to the country’s economic growth.
Kravis has been a long-time advocate for India’s growth story and has played a crucial role in shaping KKR’s investments in the country. He expressed his gratitude for the recognition and praised India’s dynamic population, innovative entrepreneurial spirit, and business community. He also spoke about his admiration for India’s rich history, culture, and people.
Past USISPF summits have hosted notable figures such as former US Vice President Mike Pence, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, former Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, and former Senior Advisor to President Trump Jared Kushner. The organization is dedicated to building a powerful partnership between the United States and India and has been a trusted partner for businesses, non-profit organizations, the diaspora, and governments from both countries.
