A new AI Task Force initiated by the US-India Business Council (USIBC) sees Bala Subramanian (UPS), Akash Shah (BNY Mellon), and Inderpreet Sawhney (Infosys) joining to foster collaboration and innovation. The task force aims to shape AI policy and innovation through cross-sector collaboration, as discussed in its inaugural virtual meeting on April 25.
The USIBC’s objective is to align U.S. and Indian leadership in the AI ecosystem, promoting common AI concepts and principles and ensuring industry competitiveness. The event gathered leaders from various sectors like logistics, semiconductor design, biotechnology, and financial services to explore cooperation and synergy.
USIBC President Atul Keshap emphasized the importance of AI in revolutionizing industries and reinforcing free societies. The addition of Subramanian, Shah, and Sawhney to the AI Board Advisory Committee strengthens efforts to drive collaboration and innovation in AI.
Bala Subramanian expressed enthusiasm about contributing UPS’s technological insights, while Inderpreet Sawhney highlighted Infosys’s commitment to responsible AI rollout. Meta joins as Co-chair of the USIBC AI Task Force, bringing industry knowledge to promote inclusive AI solutions.
Keshap welcomed the new additions, emphasizing their leadership and expertise in shaping strategic approaches to AI across sectors. Established in 1975, USIBC represents top global companies operating in the United States, India, and the Indo-Pacific, advocating for business interests.
