US Embassy in India’s Charge d’Affaires Jorgan K Andrews inaugurated the US Partnership Pavilion at Aero India 2025, emphasizing the United States’ commitment to strengthening defense and security collaboration with India.
In his address, Andrews underscored the evolving partnership between the two nations, calling it a vital aspect of their bilateral relations. He noted that both former President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had stressed the importance of expanding defense trade. “From small start-ups to major public sector defense enterprises and a growing private sector, US-India defense trade continues to expand,” he stated.
Andrews highlighted that the US defense industry is committed to working with India by providing high-quality, technologically advanced, and reliable defense equipment and systems.
The United States is among the largest international participants at Aero India 2025, featuring top aerospace and defense companies showcasing cutting-edge aircraft, advanced avionics, unmanned systems, space technology, and defense innovations. The event serves as a platform for discussions on technology sharing, joint ventures, and industrial partnerships under the US-India Major Defense Partnership.
Leading the delegation, Andrews was joined by Major General Ricky Mills (Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force for International Affairs), Brigadier General Patrick Teague (Senior Defense Official, US Embassy Delhi), and Consul General Chris Hodges (US Consulate Chennai). Peter McKenna, Vice President of Kallman Worldwide, played a key role in organizing the US Pavilion alongside the US Departments of Commerce and Defense.
The opening ceremony featured a performance by Technical Sergeant Benjamin Huseby from the US Air Force Band of the Pacific’s ensemble, Final Approach, who sang both the Indian and US national anthems.
