Twista, a well-known rap artist, joined forces with up-and-coming Indian metal musician Seraphina Sanan to create a rap/metal fusion track titled “Nothing.” Released by Universal Music, the music video, produced by Twin Voyage Production, was filmed in Chicago.
Twista, hailing from Chicago, is a turbo rapper recognized for his groundbreaking contributions to the rap scene, showcasing his versatility from soulful melodies to Grammy-nominated blues. His musical journey has been characterized by constant experimentation and pushing boundaries.
On the other hand, Sanan, a mere 15 years old, has displayed a knack for songwriting and production. Her earlier works featured a pop rock and arena-rock vibe, but her collaboration with Twista reveals her ability to seamlessly cross genres.
According to a press release, the collaboration proved to be a transformative experience for both artists. Sanan drew inspiration from her Indian heritage to address powerful themes in the song.
Meanwhile, Twista stressed the importance of supporting young talent and the value of intergenerational collaboration.
