Indian Americans for Trump, a group advocating for Donald J. Trump’s re-election as President of the USA, has urged his opponent, Nikki Haley, to reconcile her differences with the former president. The group contends that Haley’s critical remarks about Trump, such as labeling his administration as “chaos,” are being exploited by Democrats to attack him.
In a statement, the group highlighted how Democrats are weaponizing Haley’s words in their political battle for the presidency, inadvertently aiding the Democrat’s agenda. Indian Americans for Trump 2024 emphasized the need for Haley to mend fences with Trump and the Republican Party to avoid further harm to their chances of victory in 2024. They pointed to Haley’s recent electoral setbacks in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada as evidence.
Led by A. D. Amar, a business professor at Seton Hall University, asserts that no other candidate from either party is as qualified for the presidency as Trump. Their mission is to mobilize support, particularly among Indian Americans, to secure Trump’s re-election.
As the South Carolina primary approaches on February 24, both candidates will be on the ballot. Trump holds a significant lead over Haley in her home state, with polling averages showing a gap of over 30 points. The majority of the state’s Republican officials, including Gov. Senators Lindsey, Graham Henry McMaster and Tim Scott, and five out of six U.S. House members, have endorsed Trump over Haley.
