Prominent actor Dharmajan Bolgatty has expressed his belief that he has been deliberately excluded from the film industry, as he has not been approached with any acting opportunities for a considerable period of time. In an interview with Milestone Makers, Dharmajan, who is also a renowned stand-up comedian, stated that he did not take the initiative to reach out to anyone seeking roles, which may have contributed to his absence. He mentioned that he is only invited for roles that specifically require his presence, as there are many others in the industry who can easily fill his shoes.
When asked about his absence from the film industry, Dharmajan, who was initially introduced to the industry by actor Dileep, expressed a feeling of intentional exclusion. He acknowledged his deep gratitude towards Dileep for bringing him into the industry, emphasizing that their relationship is akin to that of brothers. He also shared his perspective on how people should reciprocate the love and support shown to them, even during challenging times faced by others.
Dharmajan began his Malayalam film journey with the movie “Paappi Appacha” in 2010, where he played the role of Dileep’s driver sidekick. Since then, he has appeared in numerous films, establishing himself as a comedy actor. Additionally, in 2021, he ventured into active politics and contested as a candidate from the Balussery constituency under the UDF party in the previous assembly elections.
Despite his absence from the film industry for a period of time, Dharmajan has upcoming projects lined up, including “Porattu Nadakam” alongside Saiju Kurup. The shooting of another film, “Police Day,” produced by actor Dileep and featuring Tini Tom and Nandalal Krishnamoorthy, is currently underway in Thiruvananthapuram.
