Amit Gupta has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for TiE Global in 2024. Hailing from Singapore, Gupta, an experienced entrepreneur and impact investor, is the Group CEO and Founder of Ecosystm Group. Alongside his role, he actively engages in angel investing and co-chairs the MIIM Blended Finance Fund, emphasizing support for women entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and sustainability in Indonesia and India. Gupta aims to foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and positive change as the global chair of TiE.
Murali Bukkapatnam, the founder and CEO of Volksy Technologies, has been named Vice Chairman. Originally from Hyderabad, India, Bukkapatnam has been a pivotal figure in TiE, serving as the president of the Hyderabad Chapter, Vice Chairman of TiE Global, and Chairman of the Chapter Development Committee. With an MS in Computer Science from Southeastern University, Washington DC, Bukkapatnam is dedicated to elevating TiE’s global presence and fostering collaborative governance. He envisions continuing the mission for global entrepreneurial success by unifying the network and providing strategic insight.
Both leaders bring decades of entrepreneurial leadership to their roles, aiming to nurture the next generation of business leaders and champion the unique value of TiE’s community. Established in 1992, TiE, a Silicon Valley-based non-profit organization, remains dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs of Indian descent globally, with a focus on fostering innovation and driving positive change.
