Over the course of the past nine years, the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dedicated itself to fostering inclusive, progressive, and sustainable development. With a steadfast commitment to creating equity and opportunities for all citizens, the government has successfully placed the politics of development at the forefront of national discourse and policy action.
Since assuming office in 2014, Prime Minister Modi has remained resolute in prioritizing the interests of India in every policy decision and action. This commitment is evident in the government’s effective handling of both external and internal security, efficient economic management, implementation of empowerment schemes for marginalized groups, and efforts towards cultural preservation, among other initiatives.
The Modi government has consistently set ambitious targets and worked diligently to achieve them within the designated timelines. This drive for excellence is apparent across various sectors. From swiftly vaccinating the eligible population against Covid-19 to achieving record-breaking exports, driving the digital revolution nationwide, accomplishing monumental goals in rural electrification, constructing world-class infrastructure, and providing access to clean drinking water for households, the government has consistently demonstrated its commitment to delivering tangible results.
Transformative Changes in Public Service Delivery and Infrastructure Development
Over the past nine years, there has been a remarkable shift in the way public services are delivered and government schemes are implemented, thanks to the adoption of the JAM trinity – Jan Dhan, Aadhar, and Mobile. This powerful combination has played a pivotal role in creating a digitally advanced landscape in India.
Through the JAM trinity, intermediaries have been eliminated, allowing for direct benefit transfers into the bank accounts of intended beneficiaries. This paradigm shift has revolutionized the delivery of government services.
Infrastructure development
It has been a cornerstone of the government’s approach to development, with a focus on completing long-delayed projects and initiating new ones. Unlike the fragmented approach of the past, the Modi Government has embraced holistic development, ensuring that no one is left behind.
The significant expansion of welfare coverage over the last nine years has inspired all Indians to dream big and strive for greater accomplishments. The comprehensive reach of development and welfare schemes has empowered marginalized groups, fostering their aspirations and self-reliance.
Sustainable development
Recognizing the importance of sustainable development, the world is now acknowledging that development without sustainability has long-term consequences for humanity. This aligns with ancient Indian philosophy, which has always valued nature and the environment.
Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India has emerged as a global champion for environmental protection and cultural preservation. The government has actively promoted these causes, reflecting its commitment to safeguarding the environment and preserving India’s rich cultural heritage.
Since assuming office in 2014, Prime Minister Modi has set new standards in governance and reforms, becoming a model for inclusive development not only in India but also for many parts of the world. He has not only encouraged aspirations but also provided substantial government support to help people achieve their dreams, ensuring that every Indian can be part of India’s growth story.
The enabling policies and grassroots initiatives of the Modi Government have brought about a remarkable social and economic transformation in the country since 2014, positioning India to become the fourth-largest economy in the world within the next two years.
