Vivek Agnihotri’s non-fiction series ‘The Kashmir Files Unreported’, which incorporates the research, archival footage, and interviews conducted for his 2022 film ‘The Kashmir Files’, is set to be available for streaming on ZEE5 starting August 11.
The premiere date for the show was revealed by ZEE5 on their official Twitter account on July 29. The tweet conveyed that the horrors depicted in ‘The Kashmir Files’ were just the beginning of the story, hinting at the upcoming series. The streaming platform stated, “@vivekagnihotri is back with #TheKashmirFilesUnreported, premiering 11th August only on #ZEE5.”
Vivek Agnihotri had previously mentioned that this series compiles the research, archival footage, and interviews that were part of the preparation for his 2022 film ‘The Kashmir Files’.
Comprising seven parts, the series takes an in-depth look into the historical, ethnic, and geopolitical intricacies that encompass the events, errors, crimes, and circumstances leading to the mass displacement and massacre of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley during the 1990s.
‘The Kashmir Files Unreported’ includes discussions with historians, experts, survivors, and their families, as it aims to shed light on the historical context and personal experiences.
Produced by Vivek Agnihotri and his spouse Pallavi Joshi under their banner IamBuddha Entertainment and Media LLP, the upcoming show promises to deliver a comprehensive perspective on the unsettling events that shaped the fate of Kashmiri Pandits.
