Tanishq, India’s premier fine jewelry brand under the Tata Group, has officially expanded into New England with its first showroom in Westborough, Massachusetts. Located at 303 Turnpike Road, the 4,000 sq. ft. boutique opened its doors on December 4 and was formally inaugurated on March 6, marking Tanishq’s 10th store across the United States.
For the growing Indian community in Massachusetts and the wider New England region, the launch goes beyond retail. Tanishq, a brand synonymous with weddings, festivals, and milestone celebrations, now provides a local destination for authentic Indian jewelry. The expansion also aligns with Tanishq’s broader U.S. strategy, strengthening its presence in key East Coast hubs such as New Jersey, Virginia, and Florida, while reaching new diaspora markets.
The grand opening highlighted Tanishq’s cultural connection with the community. The celebration began with a traditional ribbon-cutting and lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a curated cultural program featuring a Bharatanatyam performance and a showcase of the brand’s collections. Distinguished attendees included India’s Consul General Raghuram S., State Senator Michael Moore, and local civic leaders, reflecting the brand’s significance in the region.
The New England area hosts nearly 40,000 Indian households across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut, creating strong demand for bridal, festive, and everyday jewelry. With Westborough as a hub, Tanishq brings its signature craftsmanship and Tata service ethos closer to these communities, offering a trusted destination for luxury jewelry.
“Opening in Westborough represents a key milestone for establishing our presence in New England,” said Amrit Pal Singh, Head of Business – North America, Titan Company Limited. “Our 10th U.S. store demonstrates the growing appreciation for Indian craftsmanship, and we are thrilled to offer Tanishq’s heritage of gold artistry and modern design to this market.”
The showroom features over 5,000 designs across bridal, festive, and contemporary collections, blending traditional Indian artistry with global design trends. With a carefully curated assortment, Tanishq caters to both regional preferences and evolving international aesthetics.
Tanishq, with more than 400 stores worldwide, continues its global expansion while remaining a symbol of elegance, craftsmanship, and innovation in fine jewelry. In the U.S., Tanishq now serves key markets including New Jersey, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, the Bay Area, Virginia, Orlando, Boston, and now Westborough.
